Leakage in ECE Board Exam
Do you believe there was Leakage in ECE Board Exam last week? Based from feedback from some of the students themselves, they received answers to the actual exam questions before taking the board exam. This is sad news regardless if true or not because it casts doubts to all the board exam passers. The PRC should conduct the necessary investigations and publish their findings as soon as possible.
Some examinees claim leakage in ECE board exam
A number of Electronic and Communications Engineering (ECE) graduates on Wednesday stormed the office of the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) to demand a retake of the licensure examination.
The graduates were protesting an alleged leakage, citing information shared to them by some of the examinees, Rawnna Crisostomo said in her report aired over GMANews.TV News’ “24 Oras."
"Sabi nila engineers na daw sila. Hindi daw nila aantayin ‘yung result ng PRC kasi nandun na sa reviewers nila, na-powerpoint na sa kanila ‘yung sagot. In-assure na sila na papasa," said Raschid Lee Apostol, one of the examinees.
[They are convinced that they would pass the exam because the answers to the exams were already in their reviewers and were already presented to them through Powerpoint.]
The PRC, on the other hand, found no evidence of a leakage, citing the low mean score of the examinees, which it said indicates that the occurrence of any leakage is low.
"Ang aming finding hindi sila sufficiently prepared kaya medyo mababa ang examination nila [Our findings showed that the students were not sufficiently prepared that’s why they obtained low scores in the examination]," said Nicolas LapeƱa, chairperson of PRC.
PRC meanwhile assured they would look into the allegation.
The television report said the graduates had already asked the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to look into the alleged leakage.
