One More Year in College?

Nursing and Education college courses to add another year for good measure? Will it solve our problem of poor quality of education? Father Rannie Aquino examines the complex issue and provides some insight from an insider's point of view. Reading through his article from the Manila Standard (click here), he does point out some valid arguments about the real causes of mediocrity in the educational institute and whether adding one more year will do more harm than good.

My opinion is that traditional educational systems are not working anymore. And adding one more year is not attacking the issue at the root cause. We should drastically improve our college curricula to keep up with the modern times. We should encourage continuous improvement avenues for our passionate teachers. And last but not least, we should ask for a stronger government political will to prioritize educational programs across the country. I believe there is still hope left and we can still fix this problem.

How about you? What do you think?

I don't thinks so this will help our educational problems. Today we must be practical in terms of expenses.
